Ad Visser - Sobriëtas

Vinyl rip, 320 kbbs
©1982 CBS 85990
-
This is the original release from 1982. The album is the companion of the book "Sobriëtas" wich Ad Visser released that same year. Don't expect Tinklebell to ring a bell when you have to turn a page though. The synthesizer based tracks are more like an OST. The song Giddiyap a Gogo sung by Daniel Saluheka was a big hit in the Netherlands.
-
I've tried to eliminate as many ticks, clicks and scratches as possible but couldn't get it better than this. Played the record too many times.
-
Tracklisting: Overture In "S" (4:28) / March Of Hope (4:50) / Delicate Balance (3:30) / Nostalgia For Earth (8:48) / Giddyap A Gogo (4:50) / Relief Of Demorzan (5:28) / Adventure (Restless Breed) (4:44) / A Last Farewell (4:00)

Ad Visser, Pushkar & Kim Menzer
The Sound Of Blue

-
CD D.D.D. rip, 320Kbps
©1988 Blue Eyes CBE 4787
-
In 1988 Ad did performance on the RAI Media mess, Amsterdam to promote Blaupunkt and himself. This project was named "The Talkinghead Experience" and had a, for that time, inmensive lasershow. For audio comment he used projectors to give life to a big (3 or 4 metres) three dimensional head. All very impressive. You could buy the music right there as a souvenir. Along the Ad Visser track there were two Pushkar and one Kim Menzer tracks. Everytime I hear Pushkar's "Rainbow Dance" I think of coffee. Maybe he was drugged by Nescafé.
-
No hits but fine synthesiser/new age music. If you like Kitaro, Gandalf or Michael Garrison you probably gonna like this too.
-
Tracklisting:
1 Ad Visser - The Sound Of Blue (15:45)
2 Pushkar - Rainbow Dance (5:47)
3 Pushkar - Kalaila (11:15)
4 Kim Menzer - Seashore Mystery (9:48)

Fred Neil
Do You Ever Think Of Me?

©1966/1967 Rev-Ola
320 Kbps CD Rip
-
DO YOU EVER THINK OF ME is a nicely packaged reissue of 1960s folk-rock legend Fred Neil's two albums for Capitol Records, 1966's FRED NEIL and 1967's SESSIONS. FRED NEIL was a more pop-oriented work than Neil's strictly acoustic 1965 debut, with producer Nik Venet adding a fuller, electrified folk-rock sound. It contains his two most famous songs, "The Dolphins" and "Everybody's Talkin'," the latter of which Harry Nilsson turned into a worldwide hit in 1969. The altogether different SESSIONS, true to its title, consists of seven live-in-the-studio jams, complete with lengthy acid-raga soloing and unedited studio-floor banter. The combination of the brightly polished folk-pop classic and its woozy, stoned-sounding follow-up neatly encapsulates both sides of Fred Neil's stormy, idiosyncratic musical personality.
