John Lees - A Major Fancy

©1972 - LP released Harvest SHSM 2018, July 1977
CD: 3 bonus tracks*, Eagle EAGCD 107, 18th October, 1999

John Lees is best known as guitarist and vocalist with Barclay James Harvest. To date, Lees has only released one solo album, "A major fancy". This was recorded in 1972 when the band was changing labels from Harvest records to Polydor, and was therefore shelved without being released. It eventually gained a commercial release in 1977 on the Harvest Heritage label. A single was recorded in 1974 containing cover versions of The Eagles "Best of my love" and Eric Clapton's "You can't get it". The single is now very collectible, but the songs can be heard on the CD release of the album.

Eric Stewart - Do Not Bend

Strawberry Records ~224 Kbbs VBR
CD original released in 2003

In 1995 10cc released their final studio album "Mirror Mirror". The Album flops and Eric Stewart has no interest in milking the band's name any longer and goes solo. Eric took a little time to write and record (about 8 years...) and did make a return with this solo album "Do Not Bend", released in April of 2003.

This is his first solo album since 1982's "Frooty Rooties". Eric got help on background vocals but otherwise he does all the vocals and plays all the instruments.

Eric Stewart – vocals, guitar, bass, piano, synthesiser, drums and percussion, steel drums, brass / Sam Brown – backing vocals / Helen McRobbie – backing vocals / Louise Marshall – backing vocals

tracks:
You Can't Take It With You / A Friend In Need / The Gods Are Smiling / Fred and Dis-Audrey / I Will Love You Tomorrow / Sleeping With The Ghosts / Rappin' With Yves / Norman Conquest II / No No Nettie / Mr. Decadent / Do The Books / Set In Blancmange / A Human, Being / You Are Not Me

For those who downloaded Eric Stewart's GIRLS: There were two tracks missing! I've added them. Read the comments in the original post.

Eric Stewart - The Original Sountrack Of "Girls"

In 1978, 10cc made quite an impression again, not only with another hit record, but also with the videoclip for it. Based on personal experiences during a holiday in the Caribbean, "Dreadlock Holiday" became a big hit all over the world

When Eric started to work again, he was asked to write the soundtrack for the film "Girls" and this project resulted in the release of his first solo album in Februari 1980.
